Frequently Asked Questions

Non-Invasive Body Contour
What is Non-Surgical Body Contouring?
Is Body Contouring a weight-loss procedure?
  • No, body contouring is not a weight-loss solution.

  • It is intended for individuals who are already at or near their ideal weight and are looking to target specific, localized pockets of fat or excess skin.

What are the main types of Body Contouring procedures?
  • Non-surgical options that we utilize are Strawberry Lipo-Lite (Lipolysis), Ice Therapy, Ultrasound Cavitation, and Wood Therapy (Maderoterapia). These body contouring methods target fat pockets to eliminate fat cells, and toxic waste and are cleared via lymphatic system.
Who is an ideal candidate for Body Contouring?
  • Adults who are at a stable, healthy weight for at least one year.

  • Generally healthy non-smokers whose medical conditions will not impair healing.

  • People with positive, realistic goals and expectations for the procedure.

How long does recovery take?
  • Non-surgical procedures usually have little to no downtime, and most people can resume normal activities immediately.

  • Because these procedures are non-invasive, most people can return to their normal activities right away.

When will I see the final results?
  • Results from non-surgical procedures are often noticeable on the first treatment, and may require from 3-6-9 or 12 treatments depending on your goals.

  • With non-surgical options, it can take a few weeks or up to three to four months after your final treatments for the body to process and eliminate the targeted fat cells. Lymphatic clearing also assists in the elimination process of fatty cells.

  • It is also a possibility to have unsatisfactory results and require additional sessions.

How long do the results last?
  • Results are considered long-lasting, especially since the removed fat cells are gone for good.

  • However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, is crucial to prevent remaining fat cells from enlarging and to prolong your results.

What are the risks and potential side effects of non-surgical body contouring?
  • Yes, non-surgical body contouring procedures do have potential side effects, though they are generally minimal, temporary, and less severe than those associated with surgery.

  • Common side effects in the treated area include:

Temporary Skin Changes: This is the most common category, including redness, swelling (edema), bruising, and a warm feeling or slight discoloration of the skin.

Discomfort/Soreness: You may experience minor pain or soreness during or immediately after the treatment.

Numbness: A feeling of numbness or tingling in the treated area can occur and may persist for a few hours or even several weeks.

Lumpiness (Nodules): In some cases, small, temporary lumps in the fat that can be felt but not seen may develop, though they often resolve without intervention.

Burns or nerve damage: Less common, but more serious risks, depending on the specific technology used, can include burns or nerve damage.
